The Baltimore Community Lending Loan Fund fuels positive change in low and moderate income Baltimore neighborhoods, and your investment in the fund not only finances projects, but helps families to own a home, sparks community business opportunities, and creates jobs.

Investment terms range from one to three years or more, and interest is typically paid annually.  Investments begin at a minimum of $1,000, and all investments support BCL’s mission—strengthening underserved Baltimore neighborhoods and promoting community development. Investments are uninsured and carry no guarantees. Security is provided by the pooled risk that the fund provides, a loan loss reserve, permanent equity and subordinated debt investments.

Baltimore Community Lending is a US Treasury certified community development financial institution (CDFI). BCL is also rated by Aeris |CARS, a third party controlled comprehensive ratings system, which provides periodic evaluations of a CDFI’s impact performance, financial strength, and risk management for investors and donors.

    I am interested in rehab a blighted property (shell) in Broadway East and I am looking for a loan to purchase and rehab. I will keep the property as a rental. I am looking to build a relationship for funding to be able to rehab several properties. How do I apply for the loan?
