On September 18, 2019 BCL marked our 30th year of financing community development in Baltimore City by hosting Visions for a Better Baltimore, a day of presentations and workshops focused on the current redevelopment efforts occurring in the City, spotlighting challenges, and identifying opportunities for a stronger future for Baltimore City.

We brought together Baltimore City leaders, community advocates, financial institutions, developers
and other partners critical in the investment and growth of our City to explore, in part, the progress of revitalization in Baltimore City, and the key roles anchor institutions, financial institutions and community arts and innovation programs play in neighborhood revitalization. We presented the past, present and future of community development efforts in the City of Baltimore to advance Baltimore Community Lending’s goal of ensuring access to capital.
