April 14, 2021 – Baltimore Community Lending’s President and CEO, Watchen Bruce, will be interviewed on “For The Culture” on WEAA 88.9FM on Thursday, April 222 at 6pm. “For The Culture” is a talk show, hosted by Farajii Muhammad, that focuses on bringing thought-provoking, culturally relevant topics to the table that informs, entertains and give the audience a voice. Ms. Bruce will share her expertise about Baltimore Community Lending’s role in revitalizing our city’s underserved neighborhoods, the extension of the Paycheck Protection Program, and the newly-formed Community Reinvestment Act for Blacks and Latinos of Baltimore (CRA Baltimore).
As BCL continues to make small business and real estate loans, the organization is also helping small business owners complete and submit PPP loans through the newly extended deadline of May 31. Additionally, Ms. Bruce recently spoke in favor of CRA Baltimore’s call for banks to increase access to capital for community businesses and increased home ownership.
