We are thrilled to announce that our first post-pandemic ‘Coffee with Capital’ event was a resounding success! Held at The Middle Branch Wellness and Fitness Center, this event saw a wonderful turnout of partners and entrepreneurs, all eager to elevate their businesses to new heights.
The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and collaboration as attendees had the opportunity to gain valuable insights about accessing capital, connect with supportive lenders and partners and network with a vibrant community of fellow entrepreneurs
One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was the compelling and open interactions among participants. It was great to see everyone so willing to help and support each other, fostering a true sense of community.
“Thank you for inviting me to The Coffee with Capital Event today. The event was very nice, super engaging. There were a lot of lenders and a lot of information. Everyone was very personable and available to speak to us. I appreciate the invite so much!”, said Andrea England, CEO of AE Business Consulting.
BCL is dedicated to strengthening and revitalizing underserved communities through flexible financing and a major component is our Small Business population. Small businesses and entrepreneurs are the backbone of thriving communities, playing a crucial role in stabilizing and invigorating local economies. They create jobs, foster innovation, and bring unique products and services that meet the specific needs of their neighborhoods. By investing in their communities, these businesses help to cultivate a sense of local pride and engagement, which in turn supports social cohesion and resilience. Entrepreneurs often drive community development initiatives, contribute to the local tax base, and are key to creating sustainable economic growth. Their presence and success generate a ripple effect, inspiring others to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, further strengthening the community fabric.
We look forward to many more successful events and continuing to support our entrepreneurial community.
Lastly, we have a special thank you to Council Person Phylicia Porter. She suggested BCL restart the ‘Coffee with Capital’ event, chose the perfect location at the Wellness Center, and attended in person, engaging with every participant.
Stay tuned for our next Coffee with Capital event, and don’t miss the chance to bring your questions, ideas, and enthusiasm to the room!
