Concrete Support LLC is a Black woman-owned company that collaborates with organizations in the public, private, and nonprofit sector to create affordable and sustainable housing options in low-to-moderate-income neighborhoods. Owner Tiffany Green grew up in New York City’s housing projects, where she noticed the disparities between her neighborhood and other neighborhoods that seemed better off. Determined to make changes to the disinvestment in economically disadvantaged communities, Tiffany became employed at a local Public Housing Authority and earned her master’s degree in public administration. In 2019, she was accepted into University of Baltimore’s Real Estate Fellowship and Venture Competition Program and won first place in the university’s Pitch for A Million Competition. A Guidance Line of Credit Loan from BCL is covering the costs of acquisition and construction for Concrete Support, LLC. According to Tiffany, “I am paving the way for others like myself to know there is a way out. Thanks to Baltimore Community Lending, I can move forward and be a part of the solution in rebuilding Baltimore by creating safe, affordable, and sustainable housing.”
