Brittany Janay Harris-Kess
Brittany Janay is the founder of In Loving Accountability Coaching & Consulting, where she partners with organizations to design leadership practices, culture, and people systems that translate values into everyday practice. She is the architect of Leadership as a L.O.V.E. Practice™, a leadership framework grounded in four principles—Lineage & Legacy, Obligation to the Collective, Values Embodied, and Excellence Redefined—which invites leaders to approach leadership as a relational and values-driven practice rooted in accountability, care, and community impact.
Brittany is also the creator of the Lineage & Legacy Recording Experience™, a storytelling framework rooted in Black oral traditions that invites leaders and communities to reflect on memory, identity, and legacy through music and storytelling, and Liberated Love Notes, an affirmation card deck designed for Black people navigating and healing from the harms of predominantly white spaces.
A graduate of Howard University and Georgetown University, Brittany brings more than a decade of consulting experience supporting organizations across the social impact sector. When she’s not working, she can be found living and loving on her husband and their blended family in the Baltimore area.
